I have now gotten 834 on this test two times in a row. Nothing in my entire life has ever been so frustrating. I honestly, after all of this studying, just want to give up.
Last time I went in, I did decent, getting an 834 and missing one entire SIM.
This time I went in, I aced all 3 sims in good time. I did perfect on every single drag/drop. But I've been studying everything so long I'm beginning to lose small bits of knowledge and missing random multi-choice questions.
I have NO idea what to study. I try to remember what I missed and I can't.
Hardly anything I studied for last time showed up on this test. There wasn't one single NAT question even.
I'm trying to remember questions that I was curious about..
Is CDP layer 2 or layer 3? I put 3.

I'm in a much worse position than you, I scored 720 first time around, I'm going for my second shot on Monday hoping to pass or come alot closer to passing.
I just went over all the areas where I did badly and I just hope for the best, if I don't pass, no big deal, it's just a stupid exam anyways.
I have found out that the trick is to not put so much pressure on yourself, just don't give a damn next time. You know why, because you'll sleep better, you'll feel better and you'll finally pass the exam.

Danman32 Member Posts: 1,243CDP is a link layer discovery of Cisco devices. It doesn't have much to do with networking level (not IP, IPX, etc) so it isn't layer 3.
At least that's my take on it. -

Sorry to hear you are having trouble, im starting to worry about myself. I test in a little over two weeks. Why not scedule the test for like a monday and spend the weekend doing nothing but reading the sybex study guide? Thats what i plan on doing....
You should already know the ideas so touch up on the specifics this way and you should be good to go! -
Alien Member Posts: 398CDP operates in the data link layer and is used to discover neighbouring Cisco devices.
I think you have hit a plateu. Best advice is to take a day or two break and empty your mind then get back and hit the books once you have refreshed. It seems you are not far off and with a little bit more effort, you should be able to make it next time. Goodluck.Hard times on planet earth. -

yeah, CDP is definitely Layer 2 Cisco propietary protocol. Shows neighboring devices, but it can also do something in coordination with Layer 3.
