Routers and Storms
Hi Everybody
I was hoping I could get a second opinion from some of you fine people please...
Last week we had a storm in London, with all the lightning and stuff. Around the same time a router in one of our offices stopped functioning. I since found that the router cannot get past the boot stage and is probably knackered.
Now, am I clutching at straws by assuming that the storm may have damaged the router through the phone line? My reasoning for this is I was always told that you should not use a telephone during storms in case you get a shock, although I have never heard of this happening. However I also think it is too much of a coincidence to just have been some fault with the router.
Any opinions that you may have would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance.
