TOKEN RING AND FDDI
HENNO
With token ring there is just one token on the ring at a given time.
But with FDDI there are multiple tokens circulating on the ring at the same time. Is this correct, can someone please help, thanks

toke ring does only have one token at a time if you do not have the token you can't speak
FDDI being set up for Fault tolence has 2 token one on each ring.... the token go in opposite direction though. this is because it is fault tolerant ny nature where token ring is not.
for more infor on FDDI please read

well i wouldnt say that to my understanding its just one token. But if that goes down thats when the second ring kicks in so that makes it more fault tolerant.
