agustinchernitsky Member Posts: 299How about the mailbox recovery wizard?
If you saved your files... try an exmerge to export the pst... then delete de mailbox account... re create it... import again.
You know, I have lots of problems with Veritas and Exchange! -
itdaddy Member Posts: 2,089 ■■■■□□□□□□i will try thanks alot...veritas is very stupid; it fails the entire backup
if it encounters and issues; why not backup what yuo can and then
fail only the issues; wtf!!!!!!!!

my mail box file is corrupt not deletd; the recovery wiz doesnt it bring
back from the dead and not revive a corrupted mailbox?
it doesnt come up in Recov Wiz
isnt there a tool to revive a corrupt mailbox.
the mailbox is administrator and running fine just veritas cant backup cause is says corrupt -
Smallguy Member Posts: 597you can try this
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Troubleshooting_and_repairing_mailboxes_and_databases.html
to run the pst recoverry you have ot exmerge the file first though I've never used the OST recovery.
worst case you delete the admin mail box re-create it after the pst recovery is done and then import your recovered PST. -
agustinchernitsky Member Posts: 299Right! Mailbox recovery was with deleted mailboxes... It's been a while since I last used that!
Well. first see if you can export it using exmerge... Exmerge will not export corrupted messages.
You need the PST to get the pst fix tool from MS office working. -
itdaddy Member Posts: 2,089 ■■■■□□□□□□hey guys thanks so much for you help; i did print your recomendations
for later hard issues.
this is what i did
Veritas recommends these manual cleaning steps for their software
Veritas Backup
ERITAS MANUAL MAINT
does auto;but can fail
but can do it manuall
Veritas\BEutility
1. DB consist check
2. Age Database - cleans out
3. **** database backup DB
finished.
i did this
cleaned out the admin folder and rebooted!
i do think only the reboot of mail server and cleaning out
the admin mailbox did the trick per veritas whitepapers
but the above manual clean is recommend oncein a while
when event view shows cleaning problems with DB
thanks this forum rocks!
