Patch Management in Mixed Environment
Hey, guys. I need some input on other suggestions for patch management systems that support mixed environments. Basically, we'd really only need something to patch up Windows 2K/2K3 and Red Hat machines, and some support for MS Office would be nice. We've already looked at BigFix, and that turned out to be completely out of our price range, (read "Microsoft would have to dig deep in their wallet to afford it").
I'm looking for suggestions for anything that would provide OS (and possibly MS Office) patch management in the same style that SMS or WSUS would do, but be able to provide patches for both Windows and, at least, Red Hat Linux. If anyone has any suggestions at all, I'd be eternally grateful.
