I need some advice ...
Just signed on to this forum... and this i my first posting here.
I´ve got a little problem with my networkcard and maybe someone will recognize this problem and help me out here.
I´ve connected all my pc:s to a Dlink 604 router and i get a link between the nic and the router. I´ve also enabled dhcp on the router.
My computer find the nic without problems when i install the card.
The problem is that i get an ip wich is the internal ip for the card 169.254.x.x and i can´t get rid of it and to get an ip from the router insted.
I´ve checked the everywhere to find some help but with no luck.
Everything is a small help in this matter.

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminThe 169.254.x.x is an APIPA address meaning your DHCP server is not working as a DHCP server...

cheeblie Member Posts: 288There is a possibility that you DHCP server does not have a scope defined, which would prevent it form distributing IP addresses.
