Studying about 60 Pages / Day
I am averaging studying about 60-70 pages each day in my
Aplus books. In this too much to retain information in your
long term memory. I take an hour break between chapters,
and cover about 2 or 3 chapters each day.
Also What is the best allocation of my time in studying, and in what ratio: Books, Study Notes from Online,, Cd test exams, Videos ?
Thanks, Rick

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminTake an icecold shower after studying a chapter, it will cause a stress reaction which in turn will cause the stuff you learned to be imprinted in your brain. At least, that what they said on Discovery yesterday
Seriously though, the answers to your questions differ per person. It's not extreme or antything imo, in an official Microsoft course you'll cover more than that on a day. For me it works better to read something fast, twice, than read it once slowly. Repetion is the key...
I seldomly use training videos, mainly because they aren't going fast enough on the basics. But considering the amount of hours there are in a the average training CD, you could cover a lot more than 3 chapters on a day if you can watch 8 hours of video on a single day. Not sure if it's healthy though. Same goes for audio training.
Having said that, you may want to spend practicing the topics from the chapters rather than just reading them. -

Then mark off a spot to stop and review (in the case of a large book or multiple books)
Once I hit that spot I reread everything up to that point slowly and methodically creating talking points as I go. Some people on the second pass only highlight but read quickly again.
I dont. On the second pass I write down everything and really take my time. No rush. Half a chapter a day kinda attitude.
If you still feel the lack of grasping the subject take a 3rd quick pass with your favorate highlighter.
