Is Wireless Networking covered in Hardware Exam?
ricktea
Hi, I've been reading M.M. Passport Book
and the Hardware section does cover the
WIRED Network, and then stops. After
that the book goes into the OS section
of the book and the first chapter there is
"Wireless Networking". Should I study
Wireless Networking, its not covered at all
in the Hardware section of this book, just
Wired Networking. Thanks

If it is mentioned on the exam, it was very very minimal. I would know the wireless standards (802.11b,g..etc) and have a basic understanding of a few of the main security protocols. Such as WEP, WPA. Don't spend too much time worrying about it though.

That's covered more in Net+ than A+. I can't say though that A+ doesn't have it at all.
