I have not worked with WIN2000 in so long I forget.
How do you run a chkdsk /r on a drive that has Win 2000 on it?

You cannot do it on a mounted volume. If you are planning on chkdsk'ng the volume you boot off of you must either:
    a. put it in another machine and boot off its volume.
    b. boot of cd and run it.
    c. tell it to run at next startup before the volume is loaded.

I dont know about 2000 but in xp if you try to run it, it will ask if you want it to run after next reboot.
    Then just reboot the machine.
