OK fellow Geek-a-zoids, after two betas and three release candidates, Mozilla FireFox 2.0 is here! Actually, the official release of FF2 isn't until tomorrow, but you can get an early download of it from Mozilla's own FTP server at: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0/win32/en-US/

Just when you thought you were stuck using IE7...;)

    Thanks! icon_cool.gif

If I make it back online tonight, that means it works! Downloaded and preparing for upgrade!

Update: That was fast and easy -- um, maybe I should go see what the updates were icon_lol.gif So far nothing is broken!

Another Update: Ah Ha! It was worth it for the individual tab X button!

Thanks for the link! Been running the 2.0 Release Candidate since it's been out and it's been pretty good.

Let's try not to talk about bugs, rat droppings and baby food like we did on the IE7 post. icon_lol.gif

Interesting read on why early unoffical release and why they're "bad" :D

Interesting article, but the final FF2 install was placed on a public and heavily watched server. I do notice that the link I gave in this post now redirects to OSU's mirror server, and probably because of the heavy traffic as the article says. Still, I wonder how every tech news site and podcast knew about the FF2 "pre-release" in such a short time if the release wasn't intentional.
