is it able to connect a patch panle cat6 to a cat5 or cat5e cable or not
and if not , what i cant

    but I believe that the CAT6 is backward compatible with cat5e wiring. Check the manual for the patch panel and it should tell you for sure, but I swore I read that cat6 is backwards compatible with cat5e

    hello,

    if you want to fully gained benefits from cat6 cable - there are differences from cat 5e. use minicom modul and rj45 designed for cat6 cable.

    the rest should be ok.

    Yea, you need to terminate solid differently with cat6. The panduit cat6 jacks are just cool looking. . . they also work different and better than the cat5.
    More systems have been wiped out by admins than any cracker could do in a lifetime.

    as everyone else said you will be fine. I have a cat6 patch panel at the house , with cat5e terminated on it. Everything works fine.
