Hi,
Been a long while since last on here. I am living in the UK and will be mving back to California next year.
In the UK the ITIL Certifications are very popular. It's a UK government based IT standards. More and more companies want this. Also the Prince2 aswell.
My question is there a standard in the US that most US companies want to model there IT service around?
2nd question is I am planning to study for an online Professional Certificate in Management from the UK based Open University. Is there instead a cheaper and standard equivalent of this in the US?
All help is much appreciated

I had never even seen it before about a month ago and now I run into it every day at least once. Many companies in the US actually have European owners. This is a fact that many Americans don't fully understand. In any case, I think the ITIL will become more prevalent as time goes on.
I can't help you with the certificate. I don't know what you are comparing.Going for MCSE:security, Intermediate ITIL, PMP
