I would like to run a backup task on a PC at night while he user has logged off and is at home (or wherever). Can a scheduled task take a PC out of standby mode? If yes, what happens afterwards (can it be set to return to standby)?

However, in the scheduled tasks on the Settings Tab at the bottom there is a check box to "Wake the computer to run this task". It's for "Sleep" mode, but it may work for stand-by too.All things are possible, only believe.
