Flash is Too Full

Could someone please let me know for sure how to update the flash on a Switch (2900 series) when there is not enough room available, i.e how to remove old Flash to copy a new one and boot from that.

I have heard different opinions which are all very confusing ??

Downloading sofware using TFTP

I had to do this with my 2520. Boot to ROM mode and erase flash.

Change the confreg back to 0x2102
rommon 1 > confreg 0x2102
rommon 2 > reset

This will take you to boot mode. From here you can assign an interface with an IP address and use TFTP to download the new IOS.

He is performing this on a switch, not a 2500 series router. The procedure is different.
