Default Spanning Tree version on Catalyst IOS switches

Hi All

I've been searching the Cisco site for a definative answer as to what the default STP method is on IOS switches such as the 2950 and 3550. Some people say it's PVST+, others CST.

Does anyone know, or better still, have a link to where this is answered?

PVST+ is enabled by default. Actually I don't know if it differs a lot per model, and since when or which IOS, but I think all modern catalyst switches run PVST+ by default, because CST's lack of support for load balancing across multiple trunks.
