.NET Framework 3.0 has been released!

The .NET Framework 3.0 was officially released on November 21, 2006. Although this release sees an increase in .NET's major version number, it's really just a superset of functionality added to .NET 2.0, making it more of a .NET 2.1 release. See the .NET 3.0 Readme page for more details,

You can download the .NET Framework 3.0 components here for Windows Server 2003 (SP1), Windows XP (SP2), and Windows Vista systems that already have .NET 2.0 installed:
