764!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
took the test today and passed with a 764
it was a fair test, some questions were worded funny but it wasn't too bad, some things I haden't seen, but for the most part is was alot of common sense.
materials used:
(are you ready)
instructor led course with thompson courseware
testout labsim
syngress
mike myers passport passport
self test software
cert blaster
tech exams
cramsession
exam cram free test
other free test (trancender, preplogic, etc.)
google, info.com, and other search engines
random security sites for further research on specific topics
energy drinks (red bull, full throttle,180)
other random articles and such
as you can see, I consumed alot of material and still hit the pass on the mark, there is a lot of info in this exam, but it is not impossible.....

I am scheduled for tomorrow but I am not sure I am ready. I will make a final decision later today. I have until 6 to change my mind and reschedule for another week. I am fairly comfortable with the material but I feel like I need to know more.Going for MCSE:security, Intermediate ITIL, PMP -

gofor....
only you know if you are ready, it is not hard, but not a walk in the park, it's a fair test and if you've study what is required you'll pass, just cover any and everything you can, what you don't feel fully comfortable with, look it up on the net and print out any info, read it before the tests
that's what I did with security topoligies and brushed up on various attacks and cryptography types/algorithmsget back to studying!!! -
goforthbmerry Member Posts: 244I appreciate the encouragement. I just keep getting thrown by some of the farout questions tha come up from time to time on the preplogic practice test. To me it seems out of the blue to know that port 5742 is used by winCrash and which type of fire supression to use. I do know the standard ports. I do think I need to spend more time on wireless. I seem to get my Ws mixed up.Going for MCSE:security, Intermediate ITIL, PMP
