Function of ARP?

I think I got the answer to this question but I want to check since the wording is similar.

IP couldn't work on the Ethernet if it wasn't for the services of the Address Resolution Protocol. What is the function of ARP?

1) Find the source MAC address for a specific destination IP address
2) Find the source MAC address for specific source IP address
3) Find the destination MAC address for a specific source IP address
4) Find the destination MAC address for a specific destination IP address

I believe it's option 4 because the MAC address should match up with the destination IP address.
