The 28th
Without writing a novell about my A+ Journey, I'll break it down very easily:
About six months ago I quit my dream job.
After that I was "fired" from the job that replaced my dream job.
After I was fired, I was determined to go back through and get my computer certifications so I can make a living doing something I enjoy, playing with computers.
I have been trying various other jobs to pay my bills.
And now with all my studies in tact, I've set my date for the 28th. It's a one shot deal where if I fail, I just gotta study all over again for the 06 I guess.
Here's the problem:
Hardware is easy (we all sorta know that). I got down all my system resources and what not. And when I take certain prep exams (Prep Logic) I feel prepared. And then when I take other prep exam's (Pro Proof) I fail in the OS Department. And then I go to reread the material for OS and I get head aches like this:
"Virtual memory is usually implemented by paging. In paging, the low order bits of the binary representation of the virtual address are preserved, and used directly. This is because the low order bits of the actual physical address; the high order bits are treated as a key to one or more address translation tables, which provide the high order bits of the actual physical address."
Now I'm not a genius by any mark, and I'm not trying to look like an iddiot here, but does any of this statement make perfect sense or is it just me? I guess what they're trying to say is that the low order bits of the binary (which btw, can I get a feed back on the deffinition of that as well)
stay the same no matter what. And that the higher order bits get reconfigured because of the fact that they are constantly rewritten depending on what they use.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the details, but you will find it helpful to understand the process. I'm thinking that if you understood the process a little more then you can answer your own question?? Perhaps not?
In anycase, give the above a look over and see where that puts you.Plantwiz

wwpranma Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 116Heh, the information you gave me actually kept me from jumping off a bridge. Christmas does have the highest suicide rate.... But yeah, after I read that, I realized that I'm gonna be blessed with a second chance. I have no doubt in my mind though that I'm so prepared for this thing that I will pass, it's just the fact that the pretests tend to throw curve balls that I actually need, but at the same time they sort've frustrate me is all. I guess all that I can do is ask for the possibility of making it through the first time unscarred, but if I do fail a portion of this test, at least I'll have a good idea of what to know next time around right?Artificial Intelligence is nothing compared to the power of Human Stupidity.
