PASSED Network+ :) - How I prepared
Passed yesterday with good marginal
Have ben working as tech support and some months with networks so that helped a lot.
Many scenario questions with servers (Win 2000/2003, Mac, Unix, Novell). Also a lot of scenarios with wireless. Make sure to be well prepared - knowing cables, distances, connector types etc for all IEEE standards 100% helps a lot.
Used the following to prepare:
Home lab with 4 computers.
LAB BOOK: Network+ Exam Cram 2 Lab Manual (ISBN: 0789732939)
MAIN STUDY BOOK: Network+: Covers 2005 Exam with CDROM (ISBN: 0782144063)
SUMMARY READING BEFORE EXAM:
Used the tech notes from this site and self study notes + Cramsession MEGA GUIDE (that guide is pretty expensive but superb for the "days before reading").
Next is #Wireless and CNA 6.
>>> THANKS a lot for the great tech notes from this site! <<<
