is there anyway to rebuild Windows in a RAID 1 array (hardware solution with a controller card) after it was installed in a non-raid volume?
For example, if I have WinXP on Hdd1, working fine and everything, and I want to add hdd1 together with a hdd2 in a raid-1 array, is there a way to get winxp up and running again?

With what your wanting to do before you ever create the mirror or anything you need to install the drivers for the RAID controller. The directions with the product should be pretty self explanitory. Its generally:
1. Install RAID drivers in windows.
2. Create mirror.
3. Set BIOS for proper device.
4. Reboot.
On some occasions ive seen where you had to do a repair install. If that happens dont forget to hit F6 and give it the RAID driver if it needs it. -
