RAM question

Either way im looking at getting 2g's. Is it better to get say 4 512's or 2 1g's. Ive heard from some people getting 4 512's would be better but im not sure. Is there any difference?

    dual channel can be any memory sticks that are the same size i.e. 512 mb, also generally they should have the same latencys and speed i.e. 400mhz.

    you just have to make sure that your mobo supports dual channel and that you use the relevant slots.
