Passed the Hardware test today, do I have to pass OS before

Hi I passed the hardware test today witha score of 673. I have a question though, do I have to pass OS test before they switch over to the new 2003 objectives? I took test 220-231.
As for the test I thought it was of average difficulty. There were ALOT of questions about printers (especially laser printers) that I had no idea about.
