Do I need to take the CCNA is get the CCSP?
Stotic
Hello, I'm taking an internet security class at college and the material is geared towards 2 of the tests you need to take for the CCSP certification. If I pass those 2 tests, the professor will give me an A on the midterm and final. I havn't taken the final yet and I am wondering if that will prevent me from registering for the tests I want to take.

To get the CCSP you do need a valid CCNA.
There are no prerequisites for taking any of the Cisco exams except for the CCIE Lab Exams. You just wouldn't get the Professional Certification or Cisco Specialist Certificates until you get the CCNA Certification.
So you should be able to sign up for the CCSP Security exams on the Vue or Prometric web sites (once you figure out which one has the closest/best test center to you) without any problems.

You must pass a CCIE Written qualification exam for a track to be able to access the scheduling system for the CCIE Lab Exam for that track. That's it. The CCIEs pre-date the Associate and Professional level certifications. Those lower level certs make good steppingstones/milestones to a CCIE, but aren't required. Anyone can sign up for a CCIE Written Exam.
If you're under 18 you may need a parent or guardians signature -- but that's for any Cisco exam.
