Practice with VMware Server

Hi,

I'm still studying for the Security+ exam (slowly, school & work come first) and was wondering how to get some experience. I have VMware Server installed with some Linux distros and noticed that this has some security downloads including IPS, IDS, and authentication installations. Would this be good practice or would it just go completely over my head (I'm still in High School).

Since you have the resources I'd say go for it. Certainly all of it will not go over your head. And when you run into something that's completely greek to ya, come back and ask questions. That's the best way to learn.
