How much of this do I need to know for the test?
Do I need to know WMIC aliases (friendlyName, desc, verbs, qualifiers, etc)?

The exam focuses mostly on the general concepts behind WMI. Know what it is, how it interacts with the operating system, and generally how the syntax works. So don't worry about being able to script entire lines of code during the exam.
