Same job duty with 2 different titles?

If you have a job that your job duty is the same, however, you have 2 different job titles, How do you list your job experience in your resume?

for example:

You are a janitor, you do the cleaning. If your supervisor is absent, you will become a temp supervisor, you also do the cleaning while you are on the temp supervisor duty. Plus the workload is the same.

1. a janitor
2. a janitor SUPERVISOR.

You would basically state that you obtained higher duties or had an Acting Supervisor role during his / her absence or during the supervisors annual leave for example.

Is quite common for a member in an IT team to take Acting Manager responsibilities during their absence. How ever this would need to be a formal agreement with your Manager to use the Acting title. You cant just use it because you might be the only 1 staff on the day.
