Loud noise
Here I am again with another dilemna!! Hopefully, I will learn from this just like every other computer issue I have had. Well today when I got in at work--the "computer closet" where our T1. DSL, Server and V.90 fax modem are stored--is giving a rather loud high pitch noise. I am just a mere tech w/ no networking experiece. Any clue before I call a technician????????????????????????????????

I never thought I'd answer my own question
I looked around in there again--to basically tell where in the world the sound is coming from. The signal for both T1 lines and DSL were operaional. But, the cable for the v90 modem was disconencted from its port--then I saw that the APC backup battery we had was not on!!! I dont know how this got off during the weekend!! I turned it on and the sound was gone.
