Computer services giant IBM has plunged into Second Life at the urging of its “metaverse evangelists” Roo Reynolds and Ian Hughes, using it as a location for meetings, training and recruitment. But the company is also eyeing revenue opportunities that could have it vying with Second Life design firms to bring real-world businesses into the virtual realm.

Have you try Second Life ? personaly I find it boring, I don't understand why it is maknig so much waves...and seeing this as the future for meetings, training and recruitment... icon_rolleyes.gif

    It would be far better if these international online business meetings could be held within WOW or Everquest. What a brilliant idea except for the constant interruptions of someone wandering in saying "I'm a newbie.. could you give me 1 plat?"

    Can't believe IBM hasn't heard of video conferencing.
