T.T.C The Training Consortium - anyone used these guys?

AhriakinAhriakin Member Posts: 1,799 ■■■■■■■■□□
Hi Folks,

My company is deciding on a training vendor for the next year and while I've been pushing CBTNuggets Streaming my Boss has been approached by T.T.C. On the surface the range of topics is pretty decent but of course that says nothing for the actual content. Has anyone used them before, how would you say they stack up to the Nuggets?

Thanks.
We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

I just got their sales pitch as well. I can't find much info on them so I'm pretty hesitant.

I would tell them you are hesitant and would like to sample their content for free one time.

(I know I'm digging up an old post, but I can't find anything else about these guys.)

Does anyone have any recent experience with the TTC (The Training Consortium) training offerings? The flash-based labs look like a good feature, but how are the classes themselves? The price for the vendor packs is expensive when you consider it is per person per year and I would like some honest opinions from the folks here before we consider them further.

I have recommended the CBT Nuggets Archive server to my management in the past, and they brought TTC back to me this week. If you had a choice, which would you choose and why?

    Thanks in Advance.

How many people would be using the Nuggets? It may be more economical to go with the streaming subscriptions like Ahriakin mentioned instead of the full-blown archive server. You'll still have access to everything.

I've used TTC and I believe they use the same CBTs as skillport. It may even be just a reseller of skillports, but I do not know that for sure.

I'm digging this one up again now. They're offering me a Cisco and MS "All Access Pass" for 12 months. Not sure how much yet...
