I have a question about some cisco certs

I am a CCDA certified not a CCNA, I was wondering Can I go ahead and take the CCDP even though it says on the Cisco website that both CCDA and CCNA are required to take the CCDP?.
Does it mean if i pass all the exam requirements for CCDP I wont be given my certificate?

You can do the CCDP exams in any sequence... but you don't get the CCDP until you meet all the requirements, including the CCDP Prerequisites which are Valid CCNA and CCDA.

The prerequisite for the CCDA was just CCNA level knowledge (as you know) :D
