Static Routes

I configured a static route to 192.168.24.x /24 (subnet b)
on a server in 192.168.25.x /24 (subnet A)
and configured the RRas server 25.3 as its own gateway, and it seems weird to be but I can ping subnet A from B and if I delete the route I can't ping either way, I am guessing one static route that combines networks will let traffic flow bi-directional?
