solaris 8 with sun e250
I have a Sun E250 Server with 2 SCSI hard drives installed running solaris 8. If I edit /etc/vfstab to reflect a new mount point for one of these disks and Physically move the drive to a new scsi slot, the drive is not detected. If I then run format there is still no mention of the disk I have just moved. The OS has been shutdown and restarted to detect the disk but this still doesn't work. Is there are any solaris GURU's out there that can shine some light on this for me?
