    In case you read those already: a MITM attack involves placing yourself (being the attacker) between two network devices. This 'can' be logically rather than actually being physically in between the two. A replay attack involves 'recording' (as in capturing) data and replaying it later on. This can be used in conjuction with a MITM. If you are the MITM, you can capture traffic (which would make it an active MITM attack) and resend the traffic when you need to. A typical example is a password, or the encrypted version of such.
