I was just looking at the mcsa 200 path, since that is the current track I am on. It looks like that track is going to be retired next spring.
However I noticed that for an elective it listed A+/Server+. I thought that A+/Net+ was also an acceptable elective, has that been changed or am I missing something????

I would contact MS directly and ask them since you can use A+/Net+ for MCSA 2003. Alternativley you could take Server+, while not as popular as Network+, is still a good cert to have in my honest opinion and not that many people have it.Working on: MCSA 2012 R2

One option you have is to also pass the security+ exam which should also count for a MCSE elective as well. Just something to think about.... -

We value your time and it would be our pleasure to assist you. However
for the elective requirement we accept Comptia security+ or Comptia A+
and server+ or MCDST certification."
Well there is the response from MS... I was quite certain that A+/Net+ was an elective. I already have A+ and I haven't done much with security so I will probably go for the Server+ test after I take the 215 and 218. -

NinjaBoy Member Posts: 968I know that it use to be there, as I got my MCSA with the A+ and Network+ elective. I'm unsure if it is still accepted on the 2k route, it is accepted on the 2K3 route though.

dubbs112 Member Posts: 86 ■■□□□□□□□□I sent another email to MS to inform them of the certification planner and this was their response:
"Thank you for your e-mail regarding MCSA 2000 electives.
We would be happy to assist you in this issue. The elective requirement
for MCSA 2000 are CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Server+
or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
We are sorry for the inconvenience that the certification planner is
providing inaccurate information. We have escalated the issue to our
database administrator, and we are working on it. "
