The Study has paid off!
I'll be starting a new job with Cisco next week, so all my hard study has finally bore some fruit.
The ccie will probably have to go on the back burner for a few months while i get up to speed with the new job. It's a contract position, but its a foot in the door to bigger and better things. It's a senior role for which i had to do a tech exam and a couple of tech interviews. The tech interviews were fun and stressful at the same time,.
I have had alot of previous experience with large carriers, but just not in a Cisco environment so i'm not completely wet behind the ears.
Two months ago i was beginning to wonder was the whole Cisco plan a mistake , i received alot of negitive comments from agents due to my lack of Cisco experience, the certs i had didn't seem to matter to anyone.Anyway i got a break and an agent agreed to put me forward for a role which just happened to be with Cisco.
I'm very happy as this is what i've been hoping for since i started this epic cert quest.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModCongratulations, that's great news! I know it can seem a little hopeless, when you're looking for a specific job and you keep getting turned down. It's nice to see you didn't have to settle for a 'lesser' position, doing CCNA-level work, when you should be doing exactly what you just got hired to do. Let us know how the job goes, and how that CCIE path comes along.
(And I'll join you in a cigar. I could use one, after stumbling at the finish line today, with the CCNA.)

I am a Cisco Employee at the SJ Campus on the Network OP's West and Latin America Team. Just curious what your role is going to be as a vendor at Cisco?
Thanks,
