If I get a 2950 with 12 ports instead of 24 ports for CCNA study purposes?
There is a decent deal on the table and just want to make sure the 12 port isn't missing anything the 24 port has...um...other than 12 extra ports.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModIt'll make a big difference. . . what are you going to do with the other twelve routers?
Hell, if the 12-port is a good deal, then go for it. I'm fairly sure, and I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, that the only difference is the ports and not anything to do with functionality and software.

markzab Member Posts: 619Wow, I'm pretty stoked. On ebay I made a "best offer" on the 2950 just to keep it in my watch list. The buy it now was for $225 and every other 12 port was like around $270+. I would take it for like $200 but just to give myself time and write this thread I made a really low best offer of $170..

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModThat's excellent! Not a bad day, when you save yourself $30 off your low-ball price. Have fun breaking. . . err. . . "configuring" the new switch.
