Material conflict

I have been running into some inconsistencies between practice tests and study material. Mainly with Netware material. The technotes say that

"Although current versions of Novell Netware use TCP/IP, before Netware version 5, IPX was the protocol in Netware networks"

I take this to mean that TCP/IP was introduced in version 5. However, on practice tests I have taken from the CD with my study material I had a question about it and I choze version 5 and it marked me wrong and said it was version 6. Now I'm confused and don't know which one it is.

Does anybody else run into this problem when using different sources for studying?

Well, that is not exactly what I'm saying in the TechNotes: before version 5, IPX was the protocol in Netware based networks. TCP/IP (actually Novell's own version of TCP/IP calle NetwareIP) was introduced in Netware 4.11, but the native protocol was still IPX/SPX. Starting at version 5, TCP/IP ('normal' TCP/IP) was introduced.

If you can't take the TechNotes for it ;) check out this one:

Here's a funny, somewhat related, article:

Thanks for clearing that up. I am scheduled to take the exam iNovember 20th, and I don't wanna have any doubts about the material.

    Thanks

From what I've read, and from the actual test, TCP/IP became the default protocol for Novell Netware with ver 5.
