What to purchase

in CCNA & CCENT
Guys,

I'm currently studying for my ICND with the Cisco press book. I have about $75 in gift certificats to use on Amazon.com. YOu think it's still worth it to go out and by the Sybex CCNA 5th edition book by Todd Lammel? I'm just trying to figure out what I can spend this on. Seems like everyone here loves that book over the Cisco press and that Lammel does a nice job of explaining things.

I'm currently reading chapter two of the Cisco Press and the STP section is a bit confusing. I'm hoping a second referecne will help.

    Go with Lammle's 5th edition. It should definitely help and it'll be a fun read.

    That's even more funny because I just did that like 3 days ago. I guess after you buy something they wait a little while and then send you a link to write a review. I was bored and never wrote one before so I figured why not. icon_lol.gif

    There's latest Sybex CCNA 6th edition coming this August 2007 by Todd Lammle.

    Really? I can't wait until august. I'm sure with the Cisco Press and the sybex i'll be good to go.

    Yep. The Todd Lammle book is very good. It's less detailed than the Cisco press books but it focuses more heavily on what's important for the test and not anything that pops into the author's brain. Also think about getting the CCNA flashcards from Cisco Press; I thought these were very helpful for the Intro--ICND TBD.
