Hello guys...and gals icon_redface.gif

I have been with you for a while, but never really said hello, so here's my intro...
I've been on and off with CCNA studying for the past 2 years or so and have been hindered because I've also been doing my BSc...now that's finished and I on the Cisco path full speed ahead....

I've been working with cisco equipment for a few years, so I do have hands-on knowledge of most of the basic stuff, so I would probably put myself in intermediate class...

I do have some toys...
2 x 2501
1 x 1760 (configured as frame switch)
1 x 2950
1 x 1912
1 x 4700 (which seems headed for the ****, getting major system cache errors and ctrl+break is not getting it into ROMMON...not sure where to go from there...suggestions appreciated)

I'm thinking of some more equipment...2 x 2600 routers and 2 x 2900 switches. Is this really necessary based on what I already have??

From reading most of the posts, it doesn't seem as though an ISDN simulator is necessary...

I have the INTRO and ICND and Practical Studies book, but I plan to take the one test, Todd Lammle's book is intransit....

I also have Boson netsim, Learnkey CBTs and the CCNA Semesters 1 - 4...just rebuilt my desktop, so i'm ready to roll..

Whew..so after all of that, my main question is...does anyone in the forum study together? What i mean is let's say you have the same books and you set yourselves targets to be read by a certain time and then come together online and discuss?

Thanks,
Ryan...

I personally think that 2x2600s and 2x2900s will round out that setup nicely.

Without getting into too much detail, the book(s) will provide much more than what you'll need for ISDN.

Since you've been working with Cisco eqip for a while, I'll say go for it ;)

Sorry to not answer your main question, but I just dunno.

Yea, what I did was go through all the posts about lap setup and equipment and pics of other members' labs and I figured those were what I needed...it's just to find them at a reasonable price.

What i have seen so far, seemed a bit more that what I saw some members bought theirs for...so if anyone comes across some reasonably priced 2610 or 2612 routers, or some 2912 or 2924 switches, i'd appreciate if you give me a holler...
