I think the answer for this question is wrong. It should be 255.255.248.0. The formula for calculating the subnets should be 2^n-2.

That is the formula for 'traditional subnetting' and does not apply when CIDR/ip subnet-zero command is supported/used on all devices. In that case you do not need to subtract the 2.
