Anycast RP
Hello all,
I am currently studying the multicast topics of the v3 R&S exam and was wondering what I should read about Anycast RP. I mean do I have to study MSDP and stuff like that for the written? Please tell me if you know from which books I can read about it. I have the following books but I couldn't find almost anything about Anycast RP:
Cisco Multicast Routing & Switching

Wendall Odom CCIE Routing and Switching, Official Exam Certification Guide by Cisco Press. The multicast chapters are well explained with many diagrams. It's a very informative book. -

Anycast is basicly a way for a multiple PIM-RP's to use/share the same IP address. It allows load balancing / failover of your RP's.
