861 or 863

Hi Fellas,
What would be a good option to give ...640-861 or 640 -863...as 861 shall be retiring in a months time.

What is the major difference in the two.

Which one would be advisable.

Do you have a lot of time and effort invested in the current CCDA exam? If not, I'd concentrate on the new revision. It's drastically different from the previous exam (compare the exam blueprints at Cisco's website) and more suited to today's networks. The current CCDA exam is antiquated and covers material that isn't really "best practice" any more.

thanks a lot for your advise......i agree giving the new exam would b benefical in a long run.....and yes since the new exams objectives are far more different than the old one....hence i was confused.
