Fire Wall Question
O'k in my Syngress book it says there are 3 common types of FireWalls.
1. Packet filter firewall
2. Statefull Inspection firewalls
3. Application Layer Filtering firewall.
My book does a really good job at explaining these firewalls but it's very short on Linux Firewalls.
I know that Linux systems use IP Chains and IP Tables to create rules for controlling network access to and from systems but that's all my book says. Is there anything else I should know ? I am googleing this as I type but I would like your all's input.
Sorry if I sound funny, It's a 1:13 am here in PA and my internet came back up and I wanted to type this out before I hit the sack.
