can you make changes to a crypto map config while it is appiled to an interface?
I would not think so as you would probably have to redefine the entire crypto config.

Yes you can...often to your peril...;)We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place? -

FWIW - My mate changed IPSEC parameters and the tunnel stayed up, only IPSEC was re-negoiated. -

One more question, is there any known issues with NAT and crypto maps on a serial sub-interface?just trying to keep it all in perspective!
