greetings to all
I am in the midst of trying to pass 70-270, of which I did not pass on my first try. My own fault I really got hammered question wise in four areas that I just did a skim read through on. Ouch!
I am especially weak in SCSI, and in particular ISA SCSI and loading drivers in WinXP. I have zero experience with SCSI in any form, (and I know that you have to press F6 when loading XP to load drivers for SCSI). I have been searching the web for answers or some kind of tutorial, but I haven't been very successful.
I don't what to give away any questions from the test, but I know that I have to get a better understanding of this one area before I attempt taking the test again. Any suggestions out there?
thanx

With SCSI, though it is pretty fast with Ultra 360 SCSI, it is about the termination. I mean, if the BIOS for SCSI is not loaded, ntbootdd.sys is required. So, if the BIOS for SCSI is loaded, ntbootdd.sys is not required. The interesting thing about SCSI, in comparison to IDE, information can be passed to each SCSI device rather than individually on IDE. When you have a HDD and a CD-ROM on the same IDE controller and you load a CD into the ROM, you will slow down the channel as the HDD waits for the CD-ROM to buffer the CD. SCSI can communicate with multiple SCSI drive at once.
What about SCSI did they get you on?From Security+ book by Sybex:
"One of the nice things about technology is that it's always changing. One of the bad things about technology is that it's always changing."
