640-801 & 640-802 differences

Hi All,

could you explain me what are differences between these two exams?
Is it enough to become CCNA passing only 640-801? If so what do we need 640-802 for?

Thanks in advance & regards,

The 640-801 CCNA Exam is the "old one" and the 640-802 CCNA Exam is the "new one."

The last day to take the 640-801 exam is 11/6/07.

The new 640-802 becomes available 8/1/07

If you can study for and pass the 640-801 exam before November 6th, then yes -- that's enough for the CCNA. After that date, the 640-802 (or the new 2 exam option) will be your only option(s).

The 640-802 is the "new" exam -- and reflects the increasing importance (according to Cisco) of Security and IPv6 for "lower level" networking people.

You can compare the 640-801 Exam Blueprint with the 640-802 Exam Blueprint to get a better idea of the changes.
