Its a random occurance in a few of our client's offices.
The user will log into the domain, but they only get a blank screen.
They either need to ctrl-alt-del log out and log back in or they have to start the "explorer" task manually to see their desktop.
Any ideas? Its happend in 3 different networks recently. (over the last 6 months)
Thanks.
(All 2k3 environments, completely unrelated to each other)

On the road to Cisco. Will I hunt it, or will it hunt me?

When it happens does a reboot usually clear it up or do you have to do a repair install?
What OS are the clients?
How many sugars do you have in your morning coffee?

If that's not your problem you might want to try running smitfraudrem or smitfraudfix. Because it could certainly be a "boogey man" riding in your explorer.exe.
