What are these cables called?
what cable connects to the analog phone? and what port does it connect to on the router?
what would a sample configuration on the switch and the router be for both phones to communicate.
Thanks

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□The analog phone uses a standard 2 wire rj-11 for the connection, on the router it would plug into a FXS interface on a VWIC (depending on the model it may need a NM-1V to carry the VWIC). The configuration would require configuring dial peers to define the sessions.

This has some information on configuration of dial peersThe only easy day was yesterday! -

Rearden Member Posts: 22266 blocks are indeed pretty cool. To be honest, I think the whole way analog phone systems work is cool in a way very much unlike the data world.More systems have been wiped out by admins than any cracker could do in a lifetime.
