Sorry to hear. What materials are you currently using to study? How are you approaching this exam? What are your study methods? Do you have any labs set up? Do you have any experience?

Here's what I do to study:
    1. Get my feet wet with CBT Nuggets regardless if I am familiar with the material or not.
    2. Begin reading my main/first book
    3. While reading, I will use sticky notes and use them as a bookmark when I want to review information that spans >1 page. If the information is a paragraph or so, I will summarize it into my own words and write it into a notebook.
    4. Every so often, even while I'm reading, I will go back to my notebook and read what is in there as well as review the pages that have sticky notes.
    5. I will always do the chapter questions. If I get something wrong, I make sure I understand why, and if needed, I will go back and review that information. I also try to understand why the wrong answers were incorrect.
    6. I then finish the book and then do a skim to make sure I review sections that I felt like I was forgetting.
    7. I then begin reading my secondary book if I feel the need to. Repeat steps 3-6.
    8. I then review any CBT Nuggets when I want some extra clarification.
    9. I then use a practice exam package such as Transcenders which tests me on my readiness. I'll warn you though, do not use this unless you feel you are completely ready. After the 1st usage, you have many of the questions/answers in your head which won't properly test your readiness your second time around.

If you have any questions related to specific material, perhaps something you don't quite grasp the concept of, let us know and I'm sure many people are willing to help out. Good luck!

Well there you go. Clearly the reason for this is due to Vodka being used instead of Tequilla. In all seriousness, I would look over my study methods and look over other's study methods as well. There are many topics scattered around the forums on this subject that a search will help you discover.

Sorry to hear that, however since this is your third time, then I would seriously overlook your method of study. It's probably you that don't understand the way Microsoft word its questions, if that is the case, then I would suggest you to do more practice tests.

Good luck and never give up.

hehe funny you mention that, I am using the "royal method" of studying for sec+ right now. (i even saved it as a word doc icon_lol.gif ). Of course with a little improvisation. So far its working well. However, I myself get to a point where I have a day where I know the material, know the question, and I just keep getting it wrong constantly. IF you get to that point, take a day off of studying (if you have the time). I would recommend royals suggestion and try that method, as I feel its working for me. We will find out in a few days. BTW, thanks royal for the steps, I feel its improving my study habits!

either way, best of luck on your next go-round!!! icon_thumright.gif

I just passed mine with 889. I would advice to download and read from the following sites:

www.transcender.com/demos, www.ucertify.net/prepkit/M70-270.exe, the qtns on this site and do the quiz on the www.proprofs.com/quiz-school/story.php?title=Microsoft-70270-Practice-Exam

From all these sites, just download the demos. The only consist of few questions but believe me they are real.
As an addition, i purchased the Measureup exam practices and they are great too.
    Hope that helps
